Silver Bullet Defense

Well I haven't had a lot to write about so far this year. We killed Youngstown State as expected. Beanie got hurt, but information on his injury has had a lid over it since it happened. We looked way past Ohio and almost lost. Now we gear up for the big game of the year.

I have heard a lot of people talk about how we don't have a chance in this game Saturday. I say, let them play the game. Did we look like a top 5 team against Ohio, at times maybe, but for the most part, no we didn't. No one claimed that we did after the game either. We did some good things and we did some horrible things. However, like any good coach, player, or even fan should do is look forward to what we have control over. That game is over, there is nothing that can be done about it. The two National Championships we lost and the one that we won (under Tressel) are all in the past. They are over, there is nothing that can be done about them. We have to focus on the game ahead.

Beanie will be back for USC, as noted today by coach Tressel. They are saying that he looks really good, running better than Tressel thought he might.

Everyone is talking about how great USC looked their first game. So did we. We played YSU (DIAA) sure, but they played Virginia, and if anyone is paying attention, Virginia struggled mightily against Richmond.

Forget about what has happened (like Stanford going into SC and beating them) and let them play the game.
