Football Players Help In 4X100 meter Relay

Ohio State football players Malcom Jenkins, Chimdi Chekwa and Dan Potocar, with two time Big Ten sprint champion Tony Cole, teamed up to take third overall in the 4X100m relay at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships. The team put in a time of 41.01 for their third place efforts. They set a season best Saturday, in the prelims, with a time of 40.86.

Potocar (So.) started the relay, followed by Cole (Jr.), Jenkins (Jr.), and anchored by Chekwa (So.).

The foursome won the 4X100m relay at the Jesse Owens Classic in early May. They posted a season best, at that time, of 41.37.

The Buckeye track team finished ninth overall in the championships, with Wisconsin finishing first overall.
